The Diaper Bank Story
Although the Diaper Bank of the Inland Empire is a newly established standalone entity, the Diaper Bank program has been in existence since 2019 under the Junior League of Riverside. The Diaper Bank of the Inland Empire is open to all residents of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties with the goal of providing diapers and wipes to families struggling to afford basic necessities. As the program grew rapidly over the years, it exceeded the Junior League’s capacity. To extend its impact, we transitioned the Diaper Bank of the Inland Empire into a standalone nonprofit in 2024.
The Diaper Bank of the Inland Empire will continue its monthly on-site distributions and maintain partnerships with local nonprofits to support their clients in need. In 2024, the program further expanded by launching Mobile Diaper Distribution, utilizing a van to deliver diapers directly to remote areas across the Inland Empire region. While there are a few organizations offering ad-hoc diaper distributions, the Diaper Bank of the Inland Empire is the only program recognized by the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN) serving this community, making it a vital resource in the fight to end diaper need in the region.
